Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Job Drop LLC (“Job Drop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, use career tools, save jobs, purchase digital products, or subscribe to a membership.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in, we may receive your name, email address, account identifier, and authentication status from the sign-in provider.

Job-search information. We collect information you choose to save in your account, including saved jobs, application status, follow-up dates, and private tracker notes.

Purchase and membership information. We receive transaction details needed to fulfill purchases and manage memberships, such as your email address, product or plan purchased, payment status, subscription status, Stripe customer or subscription identifiers, purchase date, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and disputes. Job Drop does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Usage information. We may record page views, job-application clicks, checkout clicks, sign-up clicks, app-install events, pages visited, and related technical information needed to operate, secure, and understand use of the service.

Communications. We collect information you provide when you contact us for billing, account, download, or customer support.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve Job Drop; authenticate accounts; display saved jobs and tracker information; process and fulfill purchases; activate, renew, suspend, or cancel memberships; provide downloads and paid features; respond to support requests; measure site performance; prevent fraud and misuse; enforce our terms; and comply with legal obligations.

3. Payments through Stripe

We use Stripe to process payments, manage subscriptions, help prevent fraud, authenticate transactions, and provide related business services. Stripe may collect personal data through its checkout pages, cookies, and similar technologies, including transaction data and information about devices connecting to its services. Stripe processes that information under its own Privacy Policy. Job Drop does not store full card numbers or card security codes.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the website, authentication, hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing, fraud prevention, and digital delivery. We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; to protect Job Drop, users, or others; to investigate fraud or security incidents; or in connection with a merger, financing, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business.

We do not sell personal information for money. Job Drop does not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Job Drop and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, security, payment processing, fraud prevention, remembering account state, and understanding site usage. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking essential cookies may prevent account, checkout, or membership features from working.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations. Stripe may retain payment and transaction information under its own legal obligations and retention policies. Tracker notes and saved jobs remain associated with your account until removed or the account data is deleted, subject to necessary backups and legal requirements.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update or remove saved-job and tracker information through your account. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information maintained by Job Drop by emailing us. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights, including the right to know, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or limit certain uses of personal information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may be retained when permitted or required by law.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Payments are handled through Stripe’s hosted payment services. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

Job Drop is intended for people seeking employment and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

10. External employer websites

Job listings link to employer and applicant-tracking websites that Job Drop does not control. Those third parties collect and use information under their own privacy policies. Review the employer’s privacy notice before submitting an application.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations change. The “Last Updated” date will show when the policy was revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or account experience when appropriate.
